Contradiction, 2025
Solo Exhibition
SVA BFA Photo Department
214 E 21st St, New York, NY, 6th Floor
February 10th - 21st

My work explores the oppositions I find within myself. Since moving to New York, I’ve become increasingly aware of the internal counteractions that influence my decisions, and I’ve been working to let them go. Contradiction plays a constant role in my daily life, affecting even the smallest choices, like deciding what to wear in the morning or whether to walk or take the bus to work. Through these photographs, I express the experience of opposing myself, reflecting on these tensions, and learning to release them. Creating this work is part of my process of self-growth, as it allows me to confront and let go of these contradictions. My photography is deeply personal, serving as a medium for self-reflection and transformation. With this show, I aim to share that journey with viewers, encouraging them to consider whether they grapple with similar inner conflicts. I hope they leave with a heightened awareness of their daily experiences and a deeper understanding of the role contradiction might play in their lives.
